Terms and Conditions Summary

These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) govern the provision of dog training services by Bristol Dog Days (referred to as "We," "Us," or "Our") to the client (referred to as "You" or "Client"). By booking or participating in any training service, you agree to abide by these T&Cs.

1. Services Offered

We offer various dog training services, including but not limited to:

  • One-to-one private training sessions.

  • Group classes (Puppy Socialisation, Basic Obedience, Advanced Training, etc.).

  • Behaviour consultation and modification programs.

  • Workshops and specialist courses.

The specific details, duration, location, and cost of the booked service will be confirmed upon registration.

2. Client Responsibilities

A. Health and Safety

  • Vaccinations/Health: Your dog must be appropriately vaccinated (as advised by your veterinarian) and free from any contagious diseases, parasites, or open wounds. Proof of vaccination may be required for group classes.

  • Welfare: You must ensure your dog is fit, healthy, and wearing appropriate and secure equipment (e.g., collar/harness and lead).

  • Aggression/Bite History: You must disclose any known history of aggression, biting, or serious reactive behaviour towards people or other dogs before booking. Failure to disclose this may result in refusal or termination of services without refund.

B. Conduct

  • You are responsible for your dog's behaviour and safety at all times during sessions and on the training grounds/location.

  • You agree to follow all instructions provided by the trainer immediately and accurately.

  • We use positive, force-free training methods. The use of harsh handling, physical punishment, or aversive equipment (e.g., choke chains, prong collars, e-collars) is strictly prohibited during our sessions.

  • Whilst it is important that your children are involved in the training of your dog and are therefore welcome at class, we ask that you respect all dogs in class and not allow them to run around or run up to other dogs.  If you think that your children are to young to manage this expectation then please make alternative arrangements for their care whilst you are at class.

3. Payment, Cancellations, and Refunds

A. Payment

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place unless otherwise agreed upon (e.g., for multi-session packages where a payment plan is offered).

B. Client Cancellations

  • Private Sessions: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling of private appointments. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the forfeiture of the session fee.

  • Group Classes/Workshops: Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable once the course/workshop has commenced. If you cancel before the start date, a refund (minus an administrative fee of 10%) may be issued, at our discretion, only if your place can be filled by another client.

C. Company Cancellations

  • In the unlikely event that We must cancel a session (e.g., due to trainer illness or extreme weather), We will offer an alternative date, a credit for a future session, or a full refund for the cancelled session.

4. Training Results

  • Dog training involves variables beyond our control, including the dog's consistency, environment, and your commitment to homework.

  • We make no guarantee of specific results or behavioural outcomes. We promise to use our best knowledge and professional skills to train and guide you and your dog.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • We take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of clients and their dogs. However, you acknowledge that dog training involves inherent risks.

  • Bristol Dog Days and its trainers accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or accident sustained by clients, dogs, or property during or after training sessions, whether on our premises or at an agreed location.

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring you have adequate public liability insurance for your dog.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • We will collect and store personal data (name, contact details, dog history) solely for the purpose of providing training services, in compliance with data protection laws.

  • We will not share your personal data with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.

7. Media Release

  • We may occasionally take photographs or video footage during sessions for promotional or educational purposes.

  • Please inform us in writing if you do not consent to the use of images or videos featuring you or your dog.

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
